Beskrivning

A cup-marked stone and a stone of archaeological significance. Dimensions: length 1.55 m, width 1.15 m, height 0.70 m, circumference 4.50 m, volume 1 m3. Granite — orange- ruddy. The stone surface has unevenly eroded. There are no significant cracks. It is possible that the stone lies in its original place, but it might have been slightly moved as well because the above-the-ground volume of the stone is close to 100 %. Covered with a very large layer of moss.

Berättande

There are 4 cup marks in the surface of the cup-marked stone, the deepest of them is 1.7 cm deep and 6 cm in the diametre. The other three cup marks are smaller and shallower. Together with the two other ancient cult stones known here the stone creates something like a complex. Regarding the purpose of creating cup-marked stones scholars have suggested more than 30 different versions the most likely of which are connected with cult rituals which have taken place at such stones.
