Several letters – „AĶ JB” have been carved in the stone surface in recent times, the carving is 0.2–0.3 cm deep. The cup-marked stone has been detected 110 cup marks which is one of the biggest number of such hollows in Latvia.

It has to be taken under the state protection as an archaeological monument. On the other side of the highway there is Spicais kalns – the Peaked Hill – the ancient seashore bluffs. From the top of it there is a far-reaching and wide view of the surroundings.
